Image Sourcebook: Shelter

Art by Gene Ha & Jeff Albrecht

First Appearance: AXIS ALPHA, VOL. 1, ALPHA (FEBRUARY 1994)
History: Shelter is a private squad tasked with gathering information on and addressing as needed enhanced beings, often requiring quick results and a low profile. Shelter operates out of C.O.M.I.C. (Capture, Observation, Maintenance, Investigation and Containment) shops. Their patrons included the D.L. Group and the government, specifically Capitol (The Office of Sanctions.) Lt. Derrick "May Day" May is their caustic liaison with the D.L. Group, and he is served by two android bodyguards. In their sole appearance, Shelter trained in a high tech facility against a simulation of the PITT entity. Working in conjunction with General Geppi of Diamond, the D.L. Group tasked Shelter with investigating and capturing individuals found to have compromised a G.E.M. switching station in New York.
